• The school excelled in academics, co-curricular activities, sports and projects concerning human interest.
  • Community Work for improvement in the plight of the weaker section of the society including tribals
  • Carried out a survey on the nutritional status of the pregnant women belonging to the low socio-economic group in New Delhi to study the effect of repeated pregnancies.
  • Carried out a survey on ‘The Warlis’ the Tribals of Maharashtra to study their socio-cultural life. This included the collection of data on dietary habits.
  • Actively involved in promotion of EFA (Education for All) in remote areas of Delhi
  • Organised a workshop with the NCERT experts on “Gender inclusive Education in Schools”.
  • Have organised various seminars for enrichment of teachers with thrust on in-service training
  • Participated actively in the National Seminars cum Workshops organised by the DAV College Managing Committee in 1989 at Ghaziabad, 1990 at Faridabad, 1991, 1992,1993,1997 and 1998 at Delhi. It was in collaboration with the NCERT. The theme was related to the role of principal in a school.
